Personally, I felt like much of the 'robot talk' from Story 7 could have been omitted, which would have made it a much more pleasant read.Overall: Worth the read, especially if you generally read science fiction novels. more two that I disliked and had to force myself through reading them. However, the ending itself was fairly predictable and didn't lend much to the imagination. Review 2: Ultimately, the book was enjoyable and thought provoking. The tales Ibis tells are science fiction stories about the events surrounding the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. This book is fantastic in terms of sci-fi material as well as giving a twist on the man vs machine plot line. I didn't even realize how much each story affected me until I was about halfway through Shion. The craziest part is how each story seems to progressively lead towards the goal Ibis has in mind.

The stories tie together in such a wonderful way, it blows my mind. "About this title" may belong to another edition of this title.Review 1: Not only is this book incredible, creative, and powerful, it is well written and gives a deep insight on the mind of androids and understanding of human nature. At a glance, these stories do not appear to have any sort of connection, but what is the true meaning behind them? What are Ibis' real intentions? The stories that Ibis speaks of are the 7 novels about the events surrounding the announcements of the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the 20th to 21st centuries. One day, he is abducted by Ibis, an android in the form of a young girl, and told of the stories created by humans in the ancient past. I recently bought The Stories of Ibis by Hiroshi Yamamoto which is a Japanese scifi book that takes place way in the future where androids have taken over. In this brutal time, our main character travels from colony to colony as a storyteller, one that speaks of the stories of the past. They resent the androids, who have built themselves a stable and cultural society.

The story takes place centuries in the future, where the diminished populations of humans live uncultured lives in their own colonies. She tells him seven stories of human/android interaction in order to reveal the secret behind humanity's fall. In a world where humans are a minority and androids have created their own civilization, a wandering storyteller meets the beautiful android Ibis.
